Six Fever players were in action overseas this week, though only two picked up victories. One of those was Marissa Coleman, who had 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in Turkish club Edirne’s 64-58 win over Mersin on March 18. Coleman tallied 14 points and six boards three days later against Orduspor, but her club dropped that contest, 81-74. Still, Coleman’s solid week earned her #FeverOverseas Player of the Week honors.

Fever guard Shavonte Zellous and her Fenerbahce teammates also split a pair of games this week, falling to Galatasary on March 18, but bouncing back with an 87-65 win over Botas on the 22nd. Zellous had 12 points and five rebounds in the former game, then followed up with 14 points and seven boards in the latter.

Elsewhere in Turkey, Erlana Larkins and Briann January’s club Adana ASKI dropped a pair of games to Besiktas and Galatasaray. Larkins had 17 points and 12 boards in the first game and did not play in the second. January tallied 16 points and four assists in the first contest, then had nine points and three rebounds in the second.

Lynetta Kizer, another member of the Fever’s Turkish contingent, had a couple strong performances in club Hatay’s losses to Instanbul Univ. and Osmaniye. Kizer had 15 points and six boards in the former contest and 21 points and five rebounds in the latter.

Kizer’s 19.0 points per game continue to rank second in the TKBL. January is the league’s sixth leading scorer at 17.3 points per game, while Coleman is 10th at 16.7 points per contest. Larkins remains the league’s leading rebounder, averaging 13.9 boards a night. January’s 4.3 assists per game are tied for the seventh-most in the Turkish league, while Coleman is tied for seventh in steals (1.8 per contest).

Finally, Maggie Lucas and club Arras returned to action in France on March 21 after an 11-day hiatus. Lucas scored 27 points for her club on 12-of-27 shooting, but Arras lost by a wide margin to Flammes Carolo. Still, Lucas remains the second-leading scorer in Ligue Féminine de Basketball, averaging 18.5 points per game.
