In a 90-79 opening night loss to Dallas, the young Fever backcourt gave the franchise a lot to be excited about this season. Tiffany Mitchell, Erica Wheeler, and Brene Moseley combined for an enormous 38 points – almost half of the team’s total. With veteran Fever guards Briann January and Marissa Coleman on the sidelines, these young newcomers will carry the backcourt in the season’s opening games.

Expected to be absent from the WNBA through the length of the upcoming European Championships, June 11-28, Shavonte Zellous will instead return to the Indiana Fever in time for Friday's home game with the Phoenix Mercury.

With training camp winding to a close and the Indiana Fever finalizing their 12-player roster for the regular season, coach Stephanie White and the Fever have sights on a season-opening game Friday, June 5 at Chicago (8:30 p.m. ET, 107.5/1070 The Fan) and a home opener Saturday, June 6, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Minnesota Lynx (7:00 p.m., FOX Sports Indiana).

Layshia Clarendon and Briana Butler each scored 13 points, and Butler added a team-leading six rebounds, to push the Fever past the Washington Mystics, 76-74, at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Veteran Marissa Coleman led Indiana with 19 points as her team concluded the preseason with a 1-1 mark.

It's time once again to check in on the Fever's contingent of players overseas. It was busy week for the five Fever players competing in Turkey, as the TKBL had a rare week with two league games.

Last week, both Erlana Larkins and Lynetta Kizer had huge games that made them leading candidates for #FeverOverseas Player of the Week honors. Our rationale was simple: Larkins' big game came in an emphatic win, while Kizer's performance came in a narrow loss.

WNBA veterans Sydney Carter and Lynetta Kizer both have re-signed player contracts with the Indiana Fever for 2015, as announced by President and General Manager Kelly Krauskopf. Also added to the club's roster with training camp contracts are Ty Marshall and Briana Butler.
