Lynetta Kizer had the best offensive season of her WNBA career this season, setting career-highs in points per game (9.6) and field goal percentage (55.6). She played in 33 games (12 starts) and also averaged 3.2 rebounds per game and shot 80 percent from the free throw line.

Fever forward Lynetta Kizer went into the Olympic break with great momentum on the back of six straight games scoring in double figures. She and the Fever will look to carry that momentum through the rest of the season once play resumes.

The absence of both its centers, and first quarter stitches to starting guard Shenise Johnson, were the backdrop in a 75-63 Indiana blowout at USAirways Center. Lynetta Kizer scored a career-high 19 points in her fourth start of the season, replacing Erlana Larkins who remained in Indianapolis with an injured left leg that required further evaluation from Fever medical personnel.

Tamika Catchings scored a game-high 20 points, 10 in the fourth quarter, to pace the Indiana Fever to a 73-62 win over the Washington Mystics, Tuesday at Verizon Center. Catchings shot 9-of-18 from the floor and also finished with six rebounds to match Tina Thompson as the second-leading rebounder in WNBA history (3,070). She already is the league’s second-leading scorer and its all-time leader in steals and free throws.

Indiana (8-7) travels to San Antonio (4-12) for a matchup with the Stars Tuesday afternoon for its final game before the All-Star break. The Fever were forced to reschedule their July 18 game in Connecticut due to weather related issues departing from Washington following a 68-50 loss last Friday.

After a loss last night in Washington, Indiana (8-7) has a quick turnaround as it faces Connecticut (7-6) this evening. This is the Fever’s second back-to-back of the season. Indiana lost consecutive games to Chicago and Minnesota to open the 2015 season June 5-6.

LaToya Sanders had career highs of 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Emma Meesseman added 14 points with a career-high 13 rebounds to help pace the Washington Mystics to a 68-50 rout of the Indiana Fever.
