Storylines & Promotion

• Indiana wraps up its weekend home stand Sunday evening as the Fever host the Seattle Storm for the second time in as many weeks at 6:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

• In a matchup between the top two rookie scorers in the WNBA this season, Fever guard Tiffany Mitchell finished with 19 points to outlast Breanna Stewart and the Storm last Wednesday for an 85-75 victory over Seattle.

• Fever forward Lynetta Kizer recorded a new career high with 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting in 22 minutes off the bench in last Wednesday’s win over Seattle. She had only scored 20 total points over the first five games of the season entering that game.

• Indiana suffered its second loss on its home court this season as the Fever fell to the Chicago Sky, 64-73, in their last outing on Friday night. Indiana was limited to 32.9 percent shooting from the field. The Fever will look to bounce back against a Seattle team in which Indiana shot 49 percent from the field in the first matchup this season.

• Seattle has lost its last two contests and four of its last six games after a 2-2 start. In their last game Friday night at Connecticut, the Storm led by as many as 12 points in the second half and did not trail after halftime until Sun forward Alyssa Thomas put back a missed jump shot with 0.6 second remaining to give Connecticut a 77-76 home victory.

• The Storm feature a unique blend of veteran leadership mixed with a young, talented core. Storm guard and Notre Dame product Jewell Loyd leads the team with 17.1 points per game in her second WNBA season. Stewart has posted four double-doubles through her first nine professional appearances and is averaging 15.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, tops among all WNBA rookies. Point guard Sue Bird is averaging 13.9 points and 6.0 assists per game, third in the WNBA, in her 15th WNBA season.

• Briann January scored in double figures for the first time this season with a team-high 17 points in Friday’s loss to Chicago. She has averaged 8.3 points and 3.5 assists per game in her four appearances since returning to the court on June 1.

• Tiffany Mitchell failed to score in double figures for the first time this season as she finished with six points in 14 minutes off the bench against Seattle. She matched a league record for the most double-figure scoring games to begin a career, eight, by any player drafted 9th or lower in the WNBA draft.

• Erlana Larkins pulled down a team-high nine rebounds in Friday’s loss. She ranks seventh overall in the WNBA with an average of 7.6 rebounds per game and has led the Fever in rebounding in seven of the team’s nine games this season.

• Tamika Catchings needs two three-point field goals to pass Nicole Powell (580) into eighth place in WNBA history for most three-point field goals made in a career.

Series
With Indiana’s 85-75 win over Seattle on June 1, The Fever have now won five straight and nine of the last 10 regular season matchups over the Storm. Indiana has won eight straight home games over the Storm. Seattle has not won at Indiana since July 18, 2008. The Fever lead the overall series 17-14 with a 13-3 record over Seattle at home in the series that dates back to 2000.
