The Fever return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for a two-game homestand, beginning with the San Antonio Stars, Wednesday afternoon. The Fever and the Stars will be facing off for the first time this season, playing before what will be one of the largest crowds of the season at Noon.
The afternoon contest is billed as Fever Kids Day presented by Steak ‘n Shake. Several kid-based activities will be available for the team’s younger fans to partake in before the game, such as face painting and balloon artists.

Guard Shenise Johnson (left knee) will not play in today’s game. Her injury status is day-to-day.

Storylines & Promotion
• The Fever fell to the Atlanta Dream, 89-68, Friday evening. Shenise Johnson scored 15 points to lead the Fever, while Erica Wheeler added 14. Candice Dupree had her tenth straight double-figure scoring effort with 14 points.
• The Fever recorded 20 assists in the loss against Atlanta, tying their second-best total this season. The Fever have recorded 20 assists or more three times this year, all in the past five games.
• Johnson led the Fever in scoring for the second straight game. She;s done so three times this season, and has been in double figures eight times.
• The Stars lost to Phoenix on Friday night, 92-77, to drop their second straight contest. Kayla McBride led the team with 22 points, and Alex Montgomery added 12 points. San Antonio outrebounded Phoenix but allowed the Mercury to shoot 58 percent from the field.
• The Fever bench has been outscored just once this season. Indiana’s bench is averaging 29 points per game, led by Tiffany Mitchell’s 10.8 points per contest.
• The Fever defense faces a San Antonio offense that is last in the WNBA in scoring, as the Stars average just 73 points per game. The Stars also rank in the bottom three in the league in field goal percentage and 3-point attempts.
• The game will be the first since the Fever signed 6-foot-7 center Jennifer Hamson to a seven-day contract.
• Indiana remains unbeaten when Briann January has at least four assists (5-0).
• Fever stars Shenise Johnson and Jazmon Gwathmey both were acquired in trades from San Antonio. Johnson was drafted by the Stars in 2012 and played three seasons with the team. Jazmon Gwathmey was acquired on May 9 after spending her rookie season with the Stars. San Antonio’s Shay Murphy spent the 2009 season with the Fever, helping Indiana all the way to the WNBA Finals.
• The Fever are 18-15 all-time against the Stars. The teams have split the past six in Indiana, but the Fever have won seven of the past 10 overall.
