The Fever hopes to snap a three-game losing skid while hosting the Washington Mystics on Friday night as the team finishes a two-game homestand. The Mystics previously defeated Indiana 88-70, on June 11
Candice Dupree has been a model of consistency in pursuit of her sixth All-Star nod. She’s scored in double figures in 11 straight games, and 15 of 17 games overall. She leads the team with 14.7 points per game, and her 5.8 rebounds per contest is also a team best.
Injury Update
Fever guard Shenise Johnson will miss the remainder of the 2017 season after sustaining a torn ACL in her left knee.

Storylines & Promotion
• The Fever fell to the San Antonio Stars, 79-72, on Wednesday afternoon. Candice Dupree led the Fever in scoring with 14 points. Briann January added 13 points and six assists.
• The annual Kids Day game drew the largest Kids Day attendance in franchise history (12,282). It was the 10th largest regular season crowd in club history. With Indiana’s past two Kids Days and last year’s Tamika Catchings retirement ceremony, three of Indiana’s top 11 home crowds have come in the past 12 months.
• Indiana had a season-high six blocks against the Stars, led by a career-high three from Jazmon Gwathmey.
• Starting in place of the injured Shenise Johnson, Marissa Coleman tied her season-high rebounding effort with five rebounds. She finished with two steals, also a season best.
• Indiana had a pair of top-10 finishers in voting for WNBA All-Star starters. Dupree was fourth among Eastern Conference frontcourt players and Tiffany Mitchell finished second in the fan vote and seventh overall among Eastern Conference guards.
• The Mystics lost to Connecticut 96-92 on July 8. It was the team’s third straight loss, and came after holding a 22-point lead in the third quarter. Elena Delle Donne scored 28 points to lead Washington, and Kristi Toliver added 17.
• Friday’s game features the two best teams in the league at taking care of the ball. Washington coughs the ball up just 11.6 times per game,
and the Fever turn it over only 12 times per contest.
• The Fever face a tough challenge defensively in containing perennial All-Star Delle Donne, who is fifth in the league in scoring with 19.8 points per game. The Mystics also lead the league in 3-point attempts with 21.4 per game.
• Washington leads the league in foul shooting with an 88 percent success rate, and Indiana is just behind the Mystics with an 86.3 percent mark. Delle Donne is first individually with a 97.1 percent conversion rate. Indiana’s Shenise Johnson is second at 95 percent, and Mitchell is fifth with a 91.9 percent mark.
• Coleman began her career with the Mystics in 2009, playing three seasons for the club after being selected second in the 2009 WNBA Draft. A lifelong resident of the D.C. area, she prepped at St. John’s High School and attended the University of Maryland. Washington’s Krystal Thomas played for Indiana during the 2014 season, appearing in 21 games and making three starts.
• The Fever are 40-25 against the Mystics all-time, with a 20-11 record at home. Washington has won five of the past six in Indiana.
