The Indiana Fever welcome the New York Liberty Saturday night. Indiana is in search of its first win, while New York is coming off its own first win in a victory over Dallas on Tuesday, 94-89. Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell was 4-of-8 from behind the arc and led all Fever scorers with 18 points at Connecticut last Saturday. Candice Dupree had 14 points and six rebounds. Rookie Victoria Vivians had 13 points shooting 5-of-8 from the field.

• Following five games in eight days last week, the Fever are settled into a stretch with just two games in 13 days. Five of the Fever’s first seven games are at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
• Kelsey Mitchell averages 16.8 points per game through the first five games of her pro career. With 84 points, she is 16 shy of reaching 100 on Saturday, in the sixth game of her career. Only five players in league history have reached 100 points in fewer games (all in their fifth game): Ruthie Bolton (1997), Nikki McCray (1998), Tamika Catchings (2002), Seimone Augustus (2006), and Cappie Pondexter (2006).
• Indiana’s rookies scored 39 of 77 points in the contest at Connecticut last Saturday. Both Kelsey Mitchell and Victoria Vivians had hot hands from behind the arc shooting 7-of-13 together and Stephanie Mavunga added eight points off the bench.
• Kayla Alexander is two rebounds shy of hitting the 500 mark for her career. She is second all-time in WNBA rebounds by Canadian players, trailing former Fever star Tammy Sutton-Brown (2,010/923 with Indiana).
• New York’s Tina Charles recorded a double-double against Dallas on Tuesday night. Charles had 34 points and grabbed 10 boards to led the Liberty to a 94-89 victory.
• The Fever led the series history 41-27 against the Liberty. Indiana was swept by the Liberty in three meetings last season.
