- Fresh off a week away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Indiana Fever return home for a break in the road-heavy portion of their schedule for a Father’s Day matinee as they host the New York Liberty for the first time this season Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
- Sunday’s game is Papa’s Day presented by Papa John’s. Tickets are still available at FeverBasketball.com, and Sunday’s game will be broadcast live on MyIndy-TV 23.
- The Fever snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night as they used a huge fourth-quarter offensive effort in which they shot 60 percent from the field and sank four three-point field goals to earn an 84-75 road victory over the San Antonio Stars.
- Tamika Catchings led Indiana with 23 points in the win over the Stars, including 11 in the fourth quarter to propel the Fever. She has now posted the two highest-scoring games by any Fever player this season. Catchings scored a season-high 27 points against Seattle on June 12.
- With two three-pointers Friday night, Catchings moved into sole possession of eighth placed in WNBA history in career three-point field goals made. She has now made 510 field goals from long distance in her 16-year WNBA career.
- Erlana Larkins finished with eight points and a game-high eight rebounds in Friday’s win over San Antonio. Larkins is currently seventh in the WNBA this season while averaging 7.6 rebounds per game and has led Indiana in the rebounding column in nine of the team’s 12 games.
- Larkins needs two rebounds to reach 1,000 for her WNBA career.
- Briann January tallied nine points and eight assists – the highest total by any Fever player this season – in Friday’s win. She has led the Fever in assists in five of her seven appearances this season.
- The Liberty (7-4) currently sit one game out of first place in the Eastern Conference Standings. New York has won three straight games and five of their last six dating back to their June 3 victory over Indiana at Madison Square Garden.
- New York is led by All-Star forward Tina Charles, who currently leads the WNBA in scoring this season with an average of 21.6 points per game while ranking third with 9.6 rebounds per game.

(June 3, 2016) NEW YORK – Indiana suffered its second-worst defeat in the 17-year history of the franchise as the New York Liberty ran away with a 91-59 victory at Madison Square Garden. The Fever shot just 32.8 percent from the field while New York rang up 10 three-point field goals on their way to a 52 percent shooting effort from the floor for the entire game. Liberty guard Sugar Rodgers led all scorers with 21 points, including five three-pointers. Tiffany Mitchell led Indiana with 11 points, while Tamika Catchings and Shenise Johnson added 10 apiece.

New York snapped a four-game regular season losing streak to the Fever with its win over Indiana on June 3. The Fever won four of the five regular season matchups over New York during the 2015 season. After dropping the first game last season against the Liberty on the road, the Fever won the final four regular season matchups, including an 80-63 road win at Madison Square Garden on June 19. The Fever hold a 39-23 all-time regular season record over New York in the history of the series.
