Storylines & Promotion

• The Indiana Fever wrap up their weekend road trip Sunday afternoon as they square off with the Connecticut Sun for the first time this season at Mohegan Sun Arena at 3:00 p.m.

• The Fever look to rebound after suffering a 59-91 road defeat Friday night at New York. The 32-point loss marks the second-largest defeat in the history of the franchise.

• Indiana is still in search of its first road victory of the season, falling to 0-3 on the season with Friday’s loss to the Liberty.

• Connecticut, 1-6 on the young season, dropped its fifth consecutive contest Friday night as the Sun fell, 77-83, at home to the Atlanta Dream. The Sun are led by sixth-year point guard Jasmine Thomas, who is averaging team highs with 12.6 points and 5.3 assists per game this season.

• The Sun feature two Indianapolis-area products, Alex Bentley and Kelly Faris. Bentley, who attended Ben Davis High School and Penn State, is averaging 11.6 points and 2.4 assists per game this season. Faris, the Heritage Christian High School and University of Connecticut product, has totaled six points and three assists in 38 minutes of action this season.

• Rookie guard Tiffany Mitchell has scored in double figures in all seven games to begin her professional career for the Fever, including a team-high 11 points in Friday’s game at New York. Mitchell is averaging a team-best 14.3 points per game this season and has led the team in scoring in three of its seven games.

• After sitting out the previous three games while adhering to the league’s concussion protocol, Shenise Johnson returned to the court Friday night to score 10 points and grab four rebounds in 29 minutes off the bench.

• Tamika Catchings finished with 10 points on 4-for-8 shooting in Friday’s loss, her fourth game with 10 or more points this season. Catchings needs only four three-point field goals to pass Nicole Powell (580) into eighth place in WNBA history.

Indiana swept the regular season series over Connecticut for the first time in the history of the series, taking all four matchups last season by an average margin of 13.3 points per game. The Fever had lost eight straight road contests at Connecticut before stealing both road games at Mohegan Sun Arena during the 2015 regular season. The Sun lead the overall series 34-27, including a 17-8 advantage at Connecticut.
