Tiffany Mitchell added a consistent presence to the Indiana Fever in the 2021 season, as she averaged 12.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 27.3 minutes per contest in 28 games.

On Monday, USA Basketball announced that the team will once again return to the basketball court in a four-day minicamp next month at the University of South Carolina. A total of 19 athletes will participate including Indiana Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell and Tiffany Mitchell.

A slashing guard who is always among Fever leaders in free throw attempts and percentage, Mitchell averaged 9.7 points per game and her 321 total points were a career high for the fourth-year star who started 14 games this season.

It’s been nearly thirty minutes since anyone else has been on the court, but Tiffany Mitchell is still there after practice, getting in extra shots. Her coaches and teammates are long gone, but the second-year pro out of South Carolina is hoisting up jumpers and taking free throws.

Mitchell started her rookie season off on fire, scoring in double-figures in her first eight WNBA games. She finished the season averaging 8.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 steals in 20 minutes per game. Mitchell shot 36.1 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from 3, and 91.1 percent from the charity stripe.

When Tiffany Mitchell is not on a plane or a bus, she is on the court working to improve on her stellar rookie debut. Mitchell is currently playing overseas in Orenburg, Russia for Nadezhda, which means hope in Russian. We caught up with Tiffany to see what life overseas is really like.
