Peters had a solid, consistent first season with the Fever, appearing in 30 games and averaging 5.2 points and three rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. She shot 54.9 percent from the field and 55.6 from the free throw line.

The Indiana Fever certainly had a remarkable amount of momentum going into the Olympic break, having won five of their last six contests and defeating the New York Liberty in their last contest on July 21. They may have even been playing some of their best basketball of the season in those six final games before the break.

The Indiana Fever have finalized their roster for the 2016 regular season that begins Saturday under the direction of second-year head coach Stephanie White. White, the only first-year coach in WNBA history to guide a team to the WNBA Finals, welcomes eight returning players from a 2015 squad that reached the playoffs in a record 11th straight season, and the Eastern Conference Finals for the eighth time in those 11 years.

Indiana opens its 2016 preseason against the recently relocated Dallas Wings. Sunday’s game is the first of two preseason matchups for the Fever. Indiana travels to Washington to meet the Mystics on Friday, May 6 (11:30 a.m.).
