Storylines & Promotion

• Heading into Tuesday night’s game at Los Angeles (8-16), the Fever (14-9) look to tie the franchise record for the second time this season with a third consecutive road victory. Indiana wraps up its Western Conference road swing at Seattle on Friday.
• With a 6-5 record away from home this season, Indiana needs just three road wins to tie the franchise record for most road victories in a season (2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014).
• The Fever are tied with Washington for second place in the Eastern Conference, just two games back of the New York Liberty (16-7).
• With Indiana’s victory at Phoenix on Sunday, the Fever have won six of their seven games since the All-Star break and 11 of their last 14 overall.
• Tamika Catchings moved into second place on the WNBA’s career rebounding list in the victory at Phoenix. She has recorded 21 steals over the last eight games and now needs only 10 thefts to reach 1,000 for her career. Catchings has averaged 12.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game this season.
• Briann January moved past Tammy Sutton-Brown (1,658) into third place on Indiana’s career scoring list. She is averaging 7.7 points per game and a team-high 3.5 assists per game this season. January ranks 10th in the league in assists.
• Shenise Johnson has scored in double figures in 11 of her last 13 appearances, averaging 12.6 points per game on 49.8 percent shooting over that span. She ranks third among all WNBA players this season by shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range.
• The Fever bench has outscored its opponents in 12 of their 14 wins this season and 17 of 23 games overall. Indiana currently leads the WNBA in bench scoring with an average of 28.8 points per game.
• Rookie Natalie Achonwa has rejoined the Fever after missing the last three games while competing with the Canadian National Team in the FIBA Americas Championships. She ranks second among WNBA rookies in scoring and fourth in rebounding with an average of 8.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Last Meeting
(July 28, 2014) Nneka Ogwumike scored 21 points and Alana Beard had 17 to help the Sparks beat the Indiana Fever 77-73. Ogwumike slipped behind the defense to take a pass from Kristi Toliver for an open layup and then made two free throws with five seconds remaining for a 77-73 lead. Beard scored the go-ahead basket at 73-72 on a jumper from the right side. Indiana had chances to tie in the final seconds but Briann January missed twice and Indiana had to foul after it could not secure the rebound on Karima Christmas’ intentionally missed free throw. Tamika Catchings led the Fever with 16 points and January had 12.

Last Games
Fever: (August 16, 2015) Lynetta Kizer scored 19 points to help the Indiana Fever beat the Phoenix Mercury 75-63 on Sunday night. A jumper by Kizer sparked a 14-2 run that gave Indiana an 18-11 lead with 1:31 left in the first quarter and the Fever led the rest of the way. A three-point play by Shavonte Zellous capped a 20-7 run to open the second half and gave Indiana its biggest lead, 59-36. Briann January scored 12 points and Zellous added 11 for Indiana. Candice Dupree and Brittney Griner had 12 points apiece for Phoenix.

Sparks: (August 16, 2015) Candace Parker scored 21 points and had a career-high 10 assists to lead the Los Angeles Sparks over the Chicago Sky, 76-64 on Sunday. Kristi Toliver added 16 points, Nneka Ogwumike 15 and Jantel Lavender 10 for the Sparks. The Sparks led 38-35 at halftime, then shot 9-of-12 from the floor in the third quarter to go ahead 61-47. The lead reached 21 points in the fourth quarter. League scoring leader Elena Delle Donne had 23 points for Chicago, but on only 7-of-19 shooting. Cappie Pondexter added 11 points.

Series
Dating back to the 2011 season, the Fever have lost seven consecutive regular season games to the Sparks, including four straight in Los Angeles. Indiana’s last win at Los Angeles came on August 10, 2010, as the Fever earned an 82-76 victory at the STAPLES Center. The Sparks hold a commanding 19-8 series lead over Indiana, including a 12-2 lead in Los Angeles.
