All good things must come to an end and although I've been mentally preparing for my retirement, I was hoping that my finale would include celebrating with my teammates while hoisting that highly coveted WNBA Championship trophy. Shenise Johnson received one vote for Sixth Woman of the Year, and Tamika Catchings received votes for the All-WNBA Second Team. Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever is the recipient of the 2016 Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award, the WNBA announced today. Catchings, who previously won the award in 2010 and 2013 (co-winner with Swin Cash), is the first three-time winner since the award’s inception in 1997.

Tamika Catchings will receive the Musial Award for Extraordinary Character at a Nov. 19 ceremony in St. Louis. Hosted annually at the Peabody Opera House in Downtown St. Louis, the Musial Awards – presented by Maryville University – celebrate the year’s greatest moments of sportsmanship and the biggest names in sports who exemplify class and character.

The Indiana Fever rolled the Dallas Wings 83-60 in the regular season home finale of the Tamika Catchings era on Sunday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The win capped Indiana’s regular-season record at .500 (17-17).
