Game Recap: Storm Pull Away From Fever to Round Out Homestand

INDIANAPOLIS – The Seattle Storm called a timeout leading the Fever only 69-66 with 6:31 remaining in the final regular season matchup of the season between the two teams. Six consecutive points from Seattle and only one additional made field goal in the late moments of Thursday night gave Seattle its 14th straight road win dating back to last season.

Teaira McCowan led the Fever in scoring off the bench with 13 points and added 10 rebounds for her 22nd career double-double. Thursday was McCowan’s sixth double-double of the 2021 season.

Jessica Breland did her best to halt Seattle’s scoring effort with a game-high four blocked shots. Breland also pitched in her 25th career double-double effort with 10 points, including two made 3-point field goal attempts, and 11 rebounds.

Kelsey Mitchell dished out four assists for the second straight game to go along with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the charity stripe.

Tiffany Mitchell tallied her sixth straight game in double figures with 12 points, while Jantel Lavender added 10 points.

For Seattle, Breanna Stewart finished with a game-high 21 points and a new season-high 15 rebounds.
