Fever Look to Complete Two-Game Sweep of Mystics

After earning their first win of the season at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday, the Fever look to sweep the two-game set against the Washington Mystics.

This will be the Fever’s final games of the 2021 regular season inside The Fieldhouse because of ongoing construction on the Fieldhouse of the Future renovation project. Starting Saturday, June 12, the Fever will play home games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum this season.

Last Meeting
May 23, 2021: The Indiana Fever ran away from the Washington Mystics with a final score of 89-77, to record the first win of the 2021 regular season.

Kelsey Mitchell was one of five Fever players to score in double figures on Sunday and led the team with 18 points and a season-high three made 3-point field goals. Jessica Breland added to her Friday night success with 17 points and 10 rebounds for her 24th career double-double performance.

Teaira McCowan poured in 10 of her 17 points in the first quarter and finished with a double-double as well. Sunday was McCowan’s 18th career double-double line in her 61st game.

Danielle Robinson became the 77th player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career field goals made as she ended with 13 points and a game-high six assists. As a team, the Fever dished out 26 assists on 33 made field goals. The 26 assists tied for the second most in a game for the Fever in Marianne Stanley’s tenure as head coach.

Victoria Vivians added 11 points off the bench to lead all reserves on 3-of-6 shooting.

For Washington, Tina Charles poured in her second consecutive 30-point game with a game-high 31 points to go along with nine rebounds. The former WNBA MVP also moved up to fourth all-time in made field goals, behind only Diana Taurasi, Candice Dupree and Tina Thompson.

Ariel Atkins and Erica McCall each added 16 and 10 points.
