McCowan, Mitchell Scoring Efforts Not Enough For Fever Against Atlanta

BRADENTON, Fla. – The Indiana Fever dropped Tuesday night’s affair against the Atlanta Dream, 102-90. Kelsey Mitchell notched her sixth 20-point scoring effort of the 2020 season, while Teaira McCowan tied a season-high 20 points, including a 10-12 clip from the free throw line.

  • Tuesday night was McCowan’s sixth game in her career scoring at least 20 points.
  • Indiana reached 90 points for the fifth time this season.
  • Natalie Achonwa tied a season-high nine rebounds. Achonwa added 10 points as one of four Fever players to end the night with double figures. She also tied a career best with five assists on Tuesday night.
  • Julie Allemand recorded her fourth game this season with at least seven rebounds. Allemand also dished out at least five assists in a game the 11th time in her rookie campaign.
  • The 42 points scored off the bench set a new season high for the Fever reserves.
  • The first meeting between Indiana and Phoenix on July 29 resulted in the Fever tying the second most points scored in a regular season game in team history in a 106-100 win.
