NOTES

  • Friday’s game is being played exactly 20 years to the date that the Fever were founded on June 7, 1999. Indianapolis, Miami, Portland and Seattle were awarded franchises that would start play in 2000.
  • Former Fever player Erin Phillips returns to Indianapolis as an assistant coach for the Wings. Phillips, a member of the Fever’s 20th anniversary team, will be honored during the game.
  • The Fever are 4-5 against the Wings since the team moved to Dallas prior to the 2016 season. Dallas took two of the three meetings between the teams last season.
  • Kelsey Mitchell tied her career high with five 3-pointers in the Fever’s win over the Liberty on Saturday. Mitchell and former Fever star Briann January of the Phoenix Mercury are the only players to hit five 3-pointers in a single game this season.
  • Candice Dupree is 10 points away from reaching the 1,000-point mark as a member of the Fever. Indiana will be the third team Dupree has scored 1,000 points for in her career.
  • Erica Wheeler is the only WNBA player who ranks in the top 10 in both points and assists per game through games of June 5. Wheeler is averaging 17.3 points per game (seventh) and 6.7 assists per game (third).
  • Wheeler reached two milestones in the Fever’s last game. She recorded the 1,000th point and 100th steal of her Fever career.
  • Candice Dupree and Erica Wheeler rank first and third in the WNBA in field goal percentage for players with at least 10 field goal attempts as of June 5. Dupree is shooting 67.9 percent from the floor and Wheeler is at 64.7 percent.
  • The Fever have shot a higher percentage from the field than their opponent in each of their first three games. They did so only five times all of last season.
  • With a win over the Wings, Indiana would be 3-1 for the first time since 2012. The Fever won their first four games that season and took home the WNBA championship.
