Fever Sign Alanna Smith

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever announced today the team signed forward Alanna Smith to a training camp contract. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to add Alanna Smith to our training camp roster. Alanna has valuable experience in both the WNBA, as a member of the Australian National Team and she has the reputation as a post player who can stretch the floor and score from beyond the 3-point line,” Fever Head Coach Marianne Stanley said.

Smith played the first three seasons of her WNBA career all with Phoenix from 2019-21. The No. 8 overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft played 18 games in the regular season with the Mercury before appearing in five postseason games in 2021.

In the condensed 2020 regular season, Smith averaged a career-high 6.1 points per contest in 19 games.

The 6-foot-4 forward also played with the Australian National Team in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Smith played her collegiate career at Stanford from 2015-19 and averaged 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 143 games played with the Cardinal.
