Roller Coaster: Jeanette Pohlen's Journey to Recovery
Amid personal and professional tragedy, Fever guard Jeanette Pohlen has persevered. Pohlen is currently playing in her fourth WNBA season due to missing the entire 2014 season with a torn Achilles tendon, which she sustained in training camp prior to the 2014 campaign. She also only played in 13 games of the 2013 season after rehabbing from a torn ACL in her left knee, which she sustained in Game 2 of the 2012 WNBA Finals. She had a decorated career as a four-year player at Stanford, helping the Cardinal reach the NCAA Final Four all four seasons she played (2007-11). The Fever drafted Pohlen in the first round, ninth overall, of the 2011 WNBA Draft.
