Focused on building healthier communities, the WNBA and Kaiser Permanente will host a variety of WNBA FIT Clinics throughout the country this year. This morning, WNBA President Laurel J. Richie and WNBA All-Stars Tamika Catchings, Alex Bentley, Sue Bird, Shoni Schimmel, Brittney Griner, Kayla McBride and Riquana Williams hosted a basketball clinic and provided nutrition tips to 90 children from the Mohegan Tribe Recreation Program and Ledyard Parks and Recreation.

Catchings led the intros for the WNBA All-Stars and helped teach campers the importance of staying active at the jump rope station.

As the NBA and WNBA’s first-ever health care partner, Kaiser Permanente serves as the health care expert and strategic consultant for the league on health and wellness programming, including the FIT program. Through this partnership, Kaiser Permanente and the leagues have joined together to host several FIT Clinics in communities across the country.
