Indiana Fever Re-Sign Veteran Forward Emma Cannon

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever announced today the team has re-signed veteran forward Emma Cannon. Cannon, who began her career with the Phoenix Mercury in 2017, had stints with the Fever during each of the last two WNBA seasons.

“Emma has been a valuable addition to our franchise, and an important source of maturity for our young team,” said Fever head coach Christie Sides. “We are excited to have her back for the coming season!”

Cannon averaged 6.8 points per game on better than 52% shooting last season in 24 games with the Fever. In 2021, she averaged a career high 6.9 points per game as a part-time starter while contributing valuable minutes off the bench.

“It was a priority for us to resign Emma, a versatile veteran post who is the ultimate professional,” said Fever general manager Lin Dunn.

The Fever, who have the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, open training camp on April 30. They will tip off the regular season by hosting the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday, May 19. For ticket information, please visit FeverBasketball.com.
