Storylines & Promotion
• After falling in their season opener Saturday night to the Dallas Wings, the Indiana Fever look to rebound Wednesday night as they host the Phoenix Mercury and their star-studded lineup featuring All-Stars Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner.

• Coming off a 76-95 Opening Night road loss to the defending-champion Minnesota Lynx, the Mercury are looking for their first victory of the season as they wrap up an extended two-game road trip at Indiana. Taurasi, a nine-time All-WNBA performer who sat out all of the 2015 season, returned to the Phoenix lineup to lead the Mercury with 18 points and six assists in Saturday’s season opener.

• Rookie guard Tiffany Mitchell led the Fever in Saturday’s season opener with 18 points as she shot 7-for-10 from the field and 2-for-4 from three-point range. Her 18-point total marked the second-highest scoring total in franchise history by a Fever rookie in her debut. Tamika Catchings holds the record with 23 points in her Fever debut in 2002.

• Erlana Larkins the 15th career double-double of her WNBA career with 14 points and 13 rebounds Saturday against the Wings. Larkins needs 15 points to reach the 1,000 career-point mark for her WNBA career.

• In her first game in a Fever uniform, Erica Wheeler tied her career high with 13 points and set new career bests with six free throws on eight attempts against Dallas.

• With two assists Saturday night, Tamika Catchings (1,424) tied Shannon Johnson for sixth place in WNBA history. She also moved into fourth place in WNBA history in career minutes played (13,565) ahead of Taj McWilliams-Franklin (13,546).

Series
Indiana swept the season series over Phoenix last season after losing four consecutive regular season games to the Mercury during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The Fever defeated Phoenix for the first time since 2012 as they hung on for a 77-74 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on June 12, 2015. Indiana holds an 18-11 overall record over Phoenix in the history of the series, including a 10-5 record at home.
