Stats & Storylines
• The Fever suffered their first home loss of the season in their first overtime contest, falling 98-90 to the Phoenix Mercury, Wednesday night. Erica Wheeler stepped in for an injured Briann January to score a career-high 24 points in a career-high 42 minutes off the bench, and Candice Dupree added a season-high 23 points in the defeat.

• It was the second time this season the Fever had two players score at least 20 points. The other time was the season-opener in Seattle, when Shenise Johnson scored a career-high 24 points and Briann January had 23.

• Breanna Stewart had a season-high 22 points and eight rebounds to help lead the Storm to their first road win of the year on Tuesday night, 85-76, against the San Antonio Stars. All five starters scored in double figures for Seattle, who has now won five of their last six.

• The Fever made 36 free throws against the Mercury, the second most in club history. Indiana shot 36-of-38 from the line, making its first 25 of the game. The Fever’s 88.5 percent free throw shooting is second in the WNBA and is on place for a club record, with previous games this season of 12-for-12 and 28-of-29.

• Fever free throw shooting is paced by Tiffany Mitchell who is third in the league with a mark of 96.8 percent. She has hit all eight attempts in the past two games and 26 in-a-row since May 20 against Connecticut. She hit a franchise-record 42 consecutive free throws at the end of her rookie campaign. Shenise Johnson, last year’s WNBA free throw champion, is fifth, converting on 94.1 percent of her attempts. She has converted 16 straight since a miss on her first attempt to begin the season, and 56-of-57 dating to July 15, 2016.
