NOTES
- Los Angeles took two of the three meetings between the teams last season. The Sparks have won four of their last five games against Indiana and lead the all-time series 26-12.
- The Fever’s three-point loss to the Aces was their 10th defeat of the season. Seven of those losses were two-possession games in the final minute.
- Rookie Teaira McCowan recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. McCowan (10.1 points, 11.3 rebounds) is the only WNBA player averaging a double-double since June 19.
- Candice Dupree’s 13 points were a team high. It was the fifth time this season Dupree’s led Indiana in scoring.
- McCowan (11 points), Kelsey Mitchell (11 points) and Natalie Achonwa (10 points) also finished in double-figures. Mitchell’s scored at least 11 points in 12 of her last 14 games.
- Achonwa (3-of-6) shot at least 50 percent from the field for the 13th consecutive game. Her 57.7 percent field goal percentage ranks second among qualified WNBA players.
- Erica Wheeler recorded a game-high seven assists. Wheeler has posted four or more assists in 13 of the team’s 16 games. Her 5.9 assists per game are tied for second in the WNBA through games on July 10. She is the only point guard in the league to average 5-plus assists, double-digit scoring and shoot at least 39 percent from 3-point range.
- Erica Wheeler (468) needs three assists to pass Katie Douglas (470) at No. 3 in Fever history. Wheeler is also five assists away from 500 in her career, becoming the fifth undrafted free agent in league history to amass both 1,000 points and 500 assists.
- Candice Dupree (6,252) enters Wednesday’s game 12 points from passing Lisa Leslie (6,263) for sixth on the WNBA career scoring list.
- With a win against the Sparks, Indiana would surpass its total and home win totals from 2018.
