Storylines
• Indiana embarks on what is its longest road trip of the season — three games. While three games are not long, it coincides with a schedule in which the Fever’s longest homestead is just two games. In a compressed WNBA schedule in 2018, Indiana will travel or play a game in 19 of 24 days in July, prior to the All-Star Break.

The Fever continues a stretch with seven games in 14 days, playing last Wednesday (home), Friday (road) and Sunday (home). Indiana resumes the compressed slate this week with road bouts at Minnesota (18th), Los Angeles (20th) and Las Vegas (22nd). The Fever hots Seattle (24th) just before the WNBA All-Star Break.

Veteran Candice Dupree led Indiana with a season-high 23 points and nine boards in her 400th career WNBA game on Sunday night. With those 23 points, Dupree moved into ninth on the WNBA all-time scoring list as she passed Becky Hammon (5,841). Dupree now has 5,863 career points.

Dupree also passed Tamika Catchings (2,385) to move into fourth on the WNBA all-time field goals list on Sunday and now has 2,394 career field goals.

Cappie Pondexter is fourth on the league’s scoring chart (6,696), just behind Catchings (7,380); and third on the list for field goals (2,401). Similarly, Pondexter (1,439 free throws) needs two free throws to pass Katie Smith (1,440) in fifth place on the WNBA career list.

Pondexter scored her most points in a Fever uniform on Sunday night, scoring 17 points to add to Indiana’s 82. Pondexter also handed out four assists and grabbed three rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury.

Tiffany Mitchell scored in double figures for the second straight game with 12 points on Sunday. She connected on 6-of-6 from the free throw line and moved into eighth on the Fever career free throw list with 238 free throws.

Erica Wheeler tallied four assists and moved into fifth place (321 assists) on the Indiana all-time list for career assists on Sunday. Wheeler shot 3-of-8 from the field and added six points for the Fever in the loss to the Mercury.
