INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever have signed 6-10 FIBA EuroLeague veteran Bernadett Határ of Hungary as a free agent, the team announced Tuesday.
“We are excited to have Határ join our franchise and we know that with her size and skill set she will be a great addition to our young roster,” said General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Tamika Catchings.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Határ, 25, who took up basketball at the age of 16, has played five seasons in the EuroLeague A Division for Sopron Basket. This season she is averaging 9.0 points and 5.0 rebounds a game while shooting 64.8 percent from the field. Határ is currently playing on Sopron Basket alongside Indiana Fever forward, Candice Dupree.
She also has played for the Hungarian National team in three European championships.
The Fever open their WNBA season May 15 against Atlanta at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
