Fever Acquire Amanda Zahui B in Trade with Washington

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever announced today the team has acquired center Amanda Zahui B (pronounced Zow-EEE BEE) from the Washington Mystics. In exchange, Indiana agreed to trade forward Queen Egbo.

In 12 games with the Mystics this season, Zahui B is averaging 2.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock has also played for the New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks in her 8-year WNBA career.

“Amanda’s versatility and ability to play the 4 and the 5 spot make her a great addition for the Indiana Fever,” General Manager Lin Dunn said.

The 6-foot-5 center who played at the University of Minnesota joined the Swedish national team at age 13.

Indiana travels to take on the Minnesota Lynx tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET. Wednesday’s game will be broadcast on the official Indiana Fever Facebook page.
