INDIANA FEVER OWN A HISTORY MAKING – FOUR FIRST ROUND PICKS
The Indiana Fever have four of the top 10 picks in this year’s April draft — pick numbers 2, 4, 6 and 10. On draft night, they could become the first franchise in WNBA history to make four first-round picks. 

The WNBA Draft 2022 will be held on Monday, April 11. WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the draft picks live on ESPN with exclusive coverage beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The draft will also be available live on the ESPN App.

Top prospects will take part live as the WNBA Draft presented by State Farm returns to an in-person event for the first time since 2019, with the acclaimed Spring Studios, located in the Tribeca section of New York and the home to such iconic events as Fashion Week and The Tribeca Film Festival, serving as the venue for the evening’s events.

Fever 2022 Draft Picks

FEVER DRAFT HISTORY

– Fever’s top two selections in franchise history: Kelsey Mitchell was chosen with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 draft and Tan White was taken with the No. 2 pick in 2005.

– Tamika Catchings is the only No. 3 pick in WNBA history to garner MVP honors in the regular season or Finals, and she did both.

– Catchings is the only No. 3 selection in league history to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. She won it five times.

– A 10th overall draft pick has earned All-WNBA honors four times, all by Indianapolis product and former Fever star Katie Douglas.

– The Fever have drafted five first round players – Teaira McCowan (2019), Kelsey Mitchell (2018), Tiffany Mitchell (2016), Natalie Achonwa (2015) and Tan White (2005) – who ended their rookie seasons on the WNBA All-Rookie Team.

– Fever guard Julie Allemand, who was selected with the 33rd pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft, became the sixth player in franchise history to make the All-Rookie Team this season.



ESPN to Launch First Full-Scale Fantasy Women’s Basketball Game
In April, ESPN Fantasy will introduce ESPN Fantasy Women’s Basketball, the first full-scale, season-long fantasy game dedicated to a major women’s sport. The game will be open for signups in early April ahead of the start of the 2022 WNBA season, which tips off Friday, May 6.

ESPN Fantasy Women’s Basketball will offer fans a full-scale fantasy game with customizable settings for the number of teams per league, scoring formats, player rosters, and public and private league options. ESPN Fantasy Women’s Basketball will be available to play in the ESPN Fantasy App for iOS and Android.
