Tamika Catchings Hosts Basketball Clinic as Part of #24Forever Legacy Tour

INDIANAPOLIS — One day before her jersey is retired by the Indiana Fever in a halftime ceremony, franchise legend Tamika Catchings and her Catch the Stars Foundation are tipping off a #24Forever Weekend of Events with a basketball clinic at the Finish Line Boys & Girls Club in Indianapolis, June 23 from 2-4 p.m.

Part of phase two of Catchings’ #24Forever Legacy Tour, the clinic is one of 12 such clinics that Catchings and CTSF are conducting, including others in 11 WNBA markets a year after Catchings launched her Legacy Tour in 2016 with a postgame event and $2,000 donation for community outreach in each city. The donations totaled $24,000, equaling her No. 24 jersey

Catchings and the CTSF will be joined by Indiana players Tiffany Mitchell, Jazmon Gwathmey, and Erica McCall. They will interact with around 50 youth from the Boys & Girls Club, with basketball drills and Q&A sessions expected to occur.

Friday’s event tips off a #24Forever Weekend which includes a block party outside Tea’s Me Cafe (140 E. 22nd Street) on Friday evening (5 to 9 p.m.) and Tamika’s jersey retirement celebration on Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, followed by Catchings’ annual Catch The Stars Foundation postgame fundraiser.
