Pacers Sports and Entertainment Tips Off WNBA Fit Month Presented by Ascension St. Vincent and Kroger

INDIANAPOLIS – Pacers Sports & Entertainment will once again team up with Ascension St. Vincent and Kroger to deliver exciting events and activities during WNBA FIT Month in August.

WNBA FIT Month and Fit Like a Pro Night, presented by Ascension St. Vincent and Kroger, provides a series of health and wellness activities that encourage physical and mental wellbeing for fans of all ages. All month long, the team will share important total health information and encourage fans to take care of themselves and each other, both physically and mentally.

As part of WNBA FIT Month, Fever forward Emma Cannon and the Indiana Fever will also support the BG Heart and Sole Shoe Drive to benefit vulnerable Hoosiers in Indianapolis. The team is asking fans to bring new and gently used tennis shoes for donation at remaining Indiana Fever home games, beginning with the Sunday, July 31 matchup at 3 p.m. ET against the Las Vegas Aces at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

“Physical and mental health and wellness are so important to the world-class athletes of the WNBA, which is why the we and our terrific partners continue to champion public health initiatives in neighborhoods across our state,” said Fever Interim General Manager Lin Dunn. “These efforts are a great opportunity for us to collectively focus on ways we can support families and children as they work to improve their own physical and mental wellbeing, and by supporting BG’s Heart and Sole Shoe Drive we will help give our most vulnerable neighbors the footwear they need to live a healthy lifestyle.”
