Fever Add Jhared Simpson to Coaching Staff

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever announced today Jhared Simpson has been named an assistant coach.

Simpson returns to Pacers Sports & Entertainment after working for three years on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants coaching staff in the NBA G League from 2016-19. Before his G League stint, he previously worked for the Indiana Pacers in the video department assisting in film breakdown and statistical analysis, as well as an assistant coach for the Pacers summer league teams. He first joined the Pacers as a video intern in 2008-10.

“We are happy to announce the addition of Jhared Simpson to our Fever basketball coaching staff and welcome him back to the PS&E family,” Head Coach Marianne Stanley said. “We look forward to having Jhared available to Fever players year-round for extensive training and development. His prior coaching experience in player development, scouting and video preparation will be a tremendous addition to our staff.”

Simpson returns to Indianapolis after most recently serving as an assistant coach with the Suns during the 2019-20 G League season.

“It is a surreal feeling coming back to Bankers Life Fieldhouse knowing the caliber of team we have with the Fever,” Simpson said. “I am incredibly thankful for both Coach Stanley and Tamika Catchings for this opportunity and look forward to building upon this championship culture.”

The Wheeling Jesuit University alumnus also served as a Graduate Assistant at his alma mater, where he completed a Master’s Degree.
