Game Recap: Fever Fall Against Aces In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Victoria Vivians poured in a season-high 17 points off the bench in Sunday night’s 101-78 loss to the Las Vegas Aces. Vivians shot 5-of-8 from the floor in the fourth quarter to finish with 12 of her 17 in the final frame.

Indiana led 8-3 in the early portion of the final game at Las Vegas this season, but the Aces rounded out the opening quarter with a 29-7 run and would not trail the rest of the way.

Teaira McCowan battled inside against the towering Las Vegas frontcourt again to finish with 15 points and nine rebounds on the night.

Kelsey Mitchell was the third Fever player to finish in double figures with 10 points to go along with two assists.

The Fever bench combined for 37 points for a new season-high on Sunday. Rookie guard Kysre Gondrezick continued to find her confidence tying her season-best eight points behind a 2-of-2 effort from beyond the arc. Lindsay Allen, Lauren Cox and Jantel Lavender each pitched in four points on Sunday. Allen added four assists, one shy of tying her single-game best this season.

The Fever also finished Sunday’s game 11-of-11 from the free throw line. It was the 30th time in franchise history the Fever were perfect from the charity stripe.

For Las Vegas, Dearica Hamby led the Aces with 22 points off the bench for the second straight game.
