Game Preview: Fever Prepare for Back-to-Back Matchups with Seattle

The Fever close out a three-game homestand with a pair of games on Tuesday and Thursday against the 2020 WNBA champions Seattle Storm. Both games tip at 7 p.m.

Fans came out to Indiana Farmers Coliseum to see a spirited battle between the Sky and Fever on Saturday. For the Fever, Notre Dame alumna Lindsay Allen’s 12 points off the bench set a new career-high for the fourth-year guard. Her six assists set a new season-best and added to her league-leading assist-to-turnover ratio at 29 assists to only five turnovers after Saturday. Teaira McCowan reached the 20-point plateau for the first time since her 22-point effort at New York to open the 2021 regular season. She pulled down 11 of her team-high 13 rebounds in the second half for her 21st career double-double. The third year center battled Candace Parker inside all game, matching Parker’s 20 points.

Seattle comes to Indy riding a three-game winning streak, including the most recent win at Connecticut on Sunday, 89-66. The league’s third leading scorer, Breanna Stewart, had 22 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range, nine rebounds and five assists to lead Seattle. Sue Bird added 13 points to help Seattle pull away with 14-2 run in the second quarter.

Tickets are still available and fans across the state, as well as in Kentucky and Ohio, can also tune in for Fever games this year at FeverBasketball.com and the team’s official Facebook page.
