Game Preview: Fever Continue Tough West Coast Road Trip in Seattle

After a tough start to their west coast road trip, where they dropped back-to-back games to the Las Vegas Aces, the Indiana Fever turn their attention to the Seattle Storm.

The Storm are currently sitting at 5-1 and have won four games in a row. The Storm rolled to an 82-72 victory against visiting Minnesota on Friday night. Breanna Stewart led a group of five Storm players in double figures, tallying 15 points. She also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

During the 2021 WNBA Draft, the Fever completed a trade with the Seattle Storm for the No. 11 pick, guard Aaliyah Wilson from Texas A&M, in exchange for forward Kennedy Burke.

On Sunday, Seattle Storm coach Dan Hughes, a WNBA champion and two-time Coach of the Year, announced his retirement on Sunday. Noelle Quinn, who played for the Storm before retiring to join the coaching staff in 2019, will take over as head coach.

The two teams will meet again later this month on June 15th and June 17th, as the Fever host the Storm for back-to-back games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
