Looking to snap a four-game losing skid, the Indiana Fever conclude a three-game roadtrip on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET at the Atlanta Dream. Fans across the state, as well in Kentucky and Ohio, can tune in again at FeverBasketball.com and the team’s official Facebook page.
Atlanta enters Tuesday after losing 13 of its last 14 games dating back to early July. The Fever claimed victory in four of the last six meetings against the Dream, including the last meeting in Atlanta, 79-68, back on July 11 before the Olympic break.
The Fever look to pick up a win on the current roadtrip after falling twice at Minnesota, including Sunday night, 90-80. Indiana and Minnesota exchanged the lead nine different occasions during the fourth quarter and erased a 16-point deficit to lead with five minutes remaining in the game before Minnesota rattled off a 15-4 run to close the game out.
Kelsey Mitchell, who still sits in the top 10 in WNBA in scoring, led all scorers with 25 points while tying a season-high 10 made field goals on Sunday. It was the 10th time in her career Mitchell made at least five 3-point field goals in a game.
Mitchell and the entire Fever starting lineup scored in double figures Sunday night. Combining the Lynx starters, it was the first time in a regular season game in Fever franchise history where every starting player scored at least 10 points. As a team, Indiana shot 50 percent from the field for the second time this season.
Teaira McCowan battled Sylvia Fowles in both games this weekend and finished with 17 points and eight rebounds on Sunday. McCowan’s four blocked shots tied the most by a Fever player this season.
Victoria Vivians earned her fifth starting nod of the season in place of Jessica Breland, who will miss the rest of the regular season due to a left thumb injury suffered on Friday night. Vivians added 10 points and a career-high seven assists.
Tiffany Mitchell and Lindsay Allen each also scored 10 points on Sunday night. It was the 19th time scoring in double figures in the last 20 games for Mitchell, while Allen reached double figures for the fourth time in her last seven games played.
Atlanta is led by the 11th leading scorer in the league, Courtney Williams, scoring 16.7 points per game this season. She also averages the second most minutes played per game and ranks in the top 15 in the league in rebounds per game averaging 6.6 boards. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, Aari McDonald, is second in the league among rookies averaging 6.4 points per game and leads all rookies averaging 1.8 assists per game.
