Indiana Fever to Honor Hall of Fame Inductee Tamika Catchings on Sunday, May 23

INDIANAPOLIS – Following this weekend’s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the Indiana Fever will honor current VP of Basketball Operations and General Manager, Tamika Catchings, when the Fever take on the Washington Mystics at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 23 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Tickets can be purchased here.

“Tamika is the quintessential icon for all Hoosiers to celebrate her commitment to the Fever franchise. We know Fever fans who supported Tamika her entire career will come out to The Fieldhouse on May 23 to support her in this once-in-a-lifetime recognition,” Fever President Dr. Allison Barber said. “Her playing career was destined to conclude with a Hall of Fame recognition in Springfield and a celebration from the greatest fans in the WNBA throughout Indiana.”

During halftime of the game, Catchings’ banner with the new embroidered Hall of Fame designation will be raised alongside former Fever coach and Hall of Famer Lin Dunn, who served as the head coach when the franchise won the 2012 WNBA Finals.

Catchings had her No. 24 retired by the franchise on June 24, 2017. It is still the only number retired in franchise history.

Her Naismith Hall of Fame recognition will also be proudly displayed along with five Pacers Naismith Hall of Fame inductees: Reggie Miller, Mel Daniels, Roger Brown, George McGinnis and Bobby “Slick” Leonard.
