Fever Sign Alexis Peterson

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever have signed second-year guard Alexis Peterson to a training camp contract, as announced by General Manager and Head Coach Pokey Chatman.

Drafted in the second round (15th overall) of the 2017 WNBA Draft by Seattle, Peterson was waived last week by the Storm. She averaged 2.1 points and 0.8 assists per game in 17 appearances with the Storm. The career assists leader (590) at Syracuse University, the 5-7 point guard also was the school’s second-leading scorer (1,978 points) behind current Fever center Kayla Alexander (2,024 points). Peterson helped lead Syracuse to the 2016 NCAA championship game that was played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
