Fever Overseas Update: (December 22, 2015 – January 6, 2016)

Adana ASKI Spor of the Turkish KBSL league recently announced that the team has signed two Indiana Fever standouts, Shavonte Zellous and Erlana Larkins. While both players have yet to suit up for their new squad, that opportunity may come in their next game on January 9 against Canik Belediyesi Samsun on the road.

Country: Italy
Team: Saces Mapei Napoli

Natalie Achonwa recently returned home after playing in Italy for Saces Mapei Napoli. Her team is currently tied for fifth place in the Italian League, Serie A1, with a 7-6 record. Through five league games, she averaged 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 2.4 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 35.4 minutes per game. She shot 65 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line.

In her most recent game in Serie A1 play on December 22, Achonwa posted a double-double with 32 points, 15 rebounds, five steals and two blocks in a 63-57 win over Techmania Battipaglia.

Achonwa’s team is currently in second place in Group G in the Eurocup standings with a 4-2 record. In six games of Eurocup play, she averaged 11.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, and a steal in 24.5 minutes per game, while shooting 50 percent on field goals and 69 percent on free throws.

In Achonwa’s most recent game in Eurocup play on December 16, she had 24 points and five rebounds in a 64-68 loss to Aluinvent Dvtk Miskolc of Hungary.

Marissa Coleman is playing in Turkey for Fenerbahce Spor Kulubu Istanbul. Her team is currently tied for third place in the KBSL standings with a 9-4 record. Through six Euroleague games she is averaging 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 steals. She is shooting 44 percent from the field, 29 percent on three-pointers, and 64 percent from the charity stripe.

In her most recent Euroleague game, Coleman had 11 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals in a 66-56 home win against Dynamo Kursk on December 16.

Coleman’s next Euroleague match will come on January 6 on the road against her Fever teammate Shenise Johnson and Good Angels Kosice.

Natasha Howard is playing for the KB Stars Saoul in South Korea. Her team is currently tied for second place in the WKBL standings with a record of 9-10.
