Fever Pretty in Pink Happy Hour Highlights Annual Breast Health Awareness Activities, Aug. 6-7

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever will conduct a Pretty in Pink Happy Hour on the afternoon of Thursday, August 6, to encourage all fans to live proactively, provide education for breast and ovarian cancer health, and learn risk reduction and prevention methods. The event will be held in conjunction with Georgia Street’s Happy Hour Thursdays from 4:30-7 p.m., featuring Fever players from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Georgia Street.

The Pretty in Pink Happy Hour highlights Fever activities as part of the WNBA’s Breast Health Awareness Week. Indiana’s BHA agenda is capped when the team wears pink uniforms on Friday, Aug. 7 against the Atlanta Dream on Breast Health Awareness Night presented by Community Health Network. For the sixth year-in-a-row, Fever players will wear special-order pink uniforms produced by adidas which will be auctioned for charity immediately after the game.

The Fever host the Dream in a matchup of teams vying for WNBA playoff positioning. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 6:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to #WearPink in support of breast health awareness. The evening includes a parade of breast cancer survivors during halftime. Fans will receive pink pom pom courtesy of CHN. Catch Friday Fever with a specially priced ticket in the Lower Level for only $24.

On Thursday, there will be a variety of craft cocktails, local beers, wine and signature Pink Fevertinis on Georgia Street along with live entertainment and music. Fans may visit a booth to learn more about health facts and obtain tickets to Friday’s game. Fans will be able to honor loved ones and take photos with Fever players Briann January, Jeanette Pohlen, and Shavonte Zellous from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to #WearPink in support of breast health awareness.

Immediately following Friday’s game, the sixth-annual Breast Health Awareness Live Auction features every player’s game-worn pink jersey among many autographed items for bid to benefit the CHN Foundation’s Oncology Patient Assistance Fund. The entire Fever team and coach Stephanie White will assist with auction proceedings that also include pink game-worn shoes; autographed photos; other autographed items from Fever players, a variety of “experience” packages with Fever players/coaches.

Over the past five seasons, Indiana Fever Breast Health Awareness auctions have raised over $150,000 for the CHN Foundation’s Breast Health Fund.
