Indiana’s leading scorer the past two seasons, 13-year veteran Candice Dupree became the ninth player in WNBA history to score more than 6,000 points. She scored eight points in an Aug. 15 loss to the Mystics, to reach the milestone. Score scored 30 and 22 points in the Fever’s final two games to race past Lauren Jackson (6,007) as the eighth-leading scorer in league history (6,057).
Indiana, with the addition of Cappie Pondexter (4th, 6,811) in July, held acclaim as the only WNBA team with two active players among the WNBA’s top ten career scoring leaders.
