Overview: Khayla Pointer was another one of the young acquisitions during the 2022 season for the Fever. After playing at LSU, Pointer was the No. 13 pick in this year’s draft by the Las Vegas Aces, but was waived on May 2. On June 14, Pointer signed with the Fever and made her WNBA debut on June 23. Pointer scored in six of 10 games played in during her rookie campaign.
Notable Performances:
June 23: In her WNBA debut at the Dallas Wings, Pointer scored a season-best six points and went 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
July 7: Against the Chicago Sky, Pointer had four points and one steal in a brief stint off the bench.
August 14: Pointer tied a career-high six points and played a season-best 13 minutes in the final regular season game of the season at Washington.
