Overview: The first draft pick by the Indiana Fever in the Marianne Stanley era was three-time All-American, Lauren Cox. The third overall selection from Baylor University had her first season with the Fever paused as she started the season in the WNBA Medical Protocol upon arrival in Bradenton, Florida. Cox made her WNBA debut against the Los Angeles Sparks on August 5 and played in the next 13 games. She started the first game of her career on August 9 against the Washington Mystics. Due to a left knee injury, Cox missed the last four games of the regular season.
