INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Fever star Natalie Achonwa, a member of the Canadian Olympic Team who helped Notre Dame to four consecutive Final Fours, will be available for autographs and photos this Saturday, May 4, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Clay High School in South Bend (19131 Darden Road).
Conducted as part of the Indiana Fever’s 20 Towns for 20 Seasons community tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise, Achonwa will visit with youth teams and players participating in the Midwest Premier Classic girls basketball tournament.
The Fever’s 20 Towns for 20 Seasons tour offers fans a chance to play interactive games, spin a prize wheel and engage with a Fever player. The first 20 guests at each event receive a commemorative t-shirt and a pair of complimentary tickets to the Fever’s home opening game on June 1 against the New York Liberty.
Achonwa, a 2014 Notre Dame graduate, begins her fifth WNBA season when training camp opens Sunday, May 5. A veteran of the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, Achonwa had a breakout season last summer for the Fever, recording six double-doubles and averaging career bests of 10.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
