— WNBA All-Star Starters to be Announced on ESPN on July 11
— WNBA Players and Media Will Join Selecting Starting Lineups
NEW YORK — For the first time ever, WNBA players and media will join fans in selecting the starters for Verizon WNBA All-Star 2017 in Seattle. WNBA All-Star Voting 2017 presented by Verizon will tip off at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 13. Verizon WNBA All-Star 2017 will be played on Saturday, July 22 at KeyArena (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
Starters for previous WNBA All-Star Games were selected by fan voting. This year, the WNBA will extend the platform to include two other important constituents of the game — WNBA players and media who cover the WNBA. Fans will account for 50 percent of the vote, while current players and a panel of basketball media will account for 25 percent each.
Individual players and media members will be able to complete one full ballot, featuring three frontcourt players and two guards from both the Eastern and Western Conference. Players may vote for their teammates or themselves.
WNBA fans may submit one full ballot each day through WNBA.com (desktop or mobile), or the WNBA App (available on Android and iOS). Fans may also vote for up to 10 players per day on Twitter and Facebook. All current WNBA players on team rosters are eligible to be voted for.
