— Middle School Girls Participate in Interactive Discussions & Tour with Fever/Fieldhouse Staff and Executives

INDIANAPOLIS – Helping to commemorate National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1, the Indiana Fever and star guard Briann January will host 50 girls from Indianapolis Public Schools to participate in an interactive series of career-related discussions. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., middle school girls from IPS schools are scheduled to take part in three half-hour sessions with over 20 female staff and executives from the Fever, Indiana Pacers and Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The students will end their experience with a tour of the nationally-acclaimed sports venue, followed by lunch provided by Papa John’s Pizza.

January, who begins her ninth season as the club’s starting point guard, participates in the first two sessions from Pacers Square on the balcony level of the Fieldhouse. Discussion panelists include female staff from business realms such as ticket sales, marketing, corporate partnerships, basketball operations, technology and social media.

The third session features Fever Community Relations Director Roberta Courtright leading a conversation and tour with staff representing guest relations, premium sales and suites, the box office, merchandising and facilities operations.
