Indiana Fever 12-Player Roster Announced for Regular Season

INDIANAPOLIS – With training camp winding to a close and the Indiana Fever finalizing their 12-player roster for the regular season, coach Stephanie White and the Fever have sights on a season-opening game Friday, June 5 at Chicago (8:30 p.m. ET, 107.5/1070 The Fan) and a home opener Saturday, June 6, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Minnesota Lynx (7:00 p.m., FOX Sports Indiana).

Veteran guard Shavonte Zellous was placed on the suspended list due to her play with the Croatia National Team in the European Championships, June 11-28.

Indiana’s opening weekend features a pair of games which both are a rematch of recent playoff series. The Fever have faced the Sky in playoff matchups the past two seasons, including last year’s Eastern Conference Finals which saw Chicago reach the WNBA Finals for the first time in their history. Saturday’s tilt with the Lynx is a rematch of the 2012 Finals that culminated with the Fever’s first championship.

When the Fever host Minnesota on Saturday, fans will be greeted with a red glowstick as part of a Guinness World Records® Attempt presented by Papa John’s. The Fever plan to establish the record for the Most people lighting a glowstick simultaneously at a single venue.

Established in 2000, the Fever begins their 16th season, while the WNBA celebrates the beginning of its 19th year of operation. During that time, Indiana has become one of the WNBA’s most successful franchises. Indiana boasts 11 playoff appearances with a current WNBA-record run of 10 in-a-row.
