Stats: In her fourth season as a member of the Indiana Fever, Marissa Coleman played in all 34 of the team’s games this season, starting in 23 and played 18.7 minutes per game. But it was an up-and-down year for the veteran. Coleman averaged 4.9 points per game on 32.7 percent shooting, including making 32.2 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc. She also averaged 2.0 rebounds and one assist per game. This season, she did achieve a milestone though, eclipsing 2,000 points scored for her career.
May 24 vs. Los Angeles: Coleman was Indiana’s leading scorer with 19 points in its 93-90 upset win over the defending WNBA champions. Coleman’s 19 came on shooting 7-of-11, including five 3-pointers. Her final triple was one of the game’s defining moments, as it gave the Fever a four-point advantage with just 38 seconds to play.
August 20 vs. Washington: In a narrow loss to the Mystics, Coleman played a season high 37 minutes and scored a season high 20 points. She drained six triples that night, setting a new career high.
