Stats: At the season’s midway point the Fever were looking for interior help and signed Jennifer Hamson to a 7-day contract. Hamson’s play eventually earned her a second 7-day contract, followed by a rest-of-the-season contract. In total, she appeared in 12 games, averaging 7.2 minutes per contest. The 6-7 center averaged 2.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 55.6 percent from the floor.
July 19 vs. Phoenix: In her third game as a member of the Fever, Hamson made her presence known. She provided an important spark off the bench, finishing with nine points, five rebounds and two blocks in 12 minutes of action to help Indiana to an 84-77 win over the Mercury.
July 28 vs. New York: Hamson scored a season-high 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting in a loss to the Connecticut Sun. She also grabbed five boards and had two blocks.
