Stats: Erica Wheeler’s third season in the WNBA and her second with Indiana was easily her best. The energetic guard played in all of 34 of the team’s games, starting in 26. She set career highs in minutes (26.4), points (11.8), rebounds (2.2), assists (4.1) and steals (1.3) per game. Wheeler shot a career best 33.1 percent from the 3-point line, 40.0 percent from the floor and 79.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Notable Performances:

June 9 vs. Seattle: In an early season win over the Storm, Wheeler compiled 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting, five rebounds, six assists and two steals.

July 19 vs. Phoenix: Wheeler led the Fever to their eighth win, a 84-77 victory against the Mercury. Wheeler was the team’s leading scorer with 20 points. She added three rebounds, seven assists and a steal in 35 minutes of action.

August 8 vs. New York: Though the Fever didn’t come away with the win against the Liberty in early August, Wheeler had herself a game. She scored a career high 33 points in the defeat, going 12-of-18 from the floor, including 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. Her 12 made shots and seven made 3-pointers were also career highs. To go along with her 33 points, she had three rebounds, an assist and two steals.
