In the absence of Katie Douglas, Zellous stepped up for the Fever in the WNBA playoffs. After averaging 7.5 points during the season, Zellous went off in the Finals, scoring 17 points per game. This winter she'll be back in Turkey playing for Mersin, where she finished fifth in the Turkish League in scoring last year.

Like Zellous, Larkins emerged as a dominant force in the WNBA playoffs. After starting on two games during the regular season, she started in nine of the Fever's 10 playoff games. This season will be her fourth with Mersin, where she had averaged over 10 points a game in each season that she has played there.

April 10, 2013: Mersin is tied 1-1 in a 3-game series with Istanbul Universitesi in the Turkish quarterfinals. Game 3 is to be played April 11. Mersin earned an 82-62 win in Game 1 with Shavonte Zellous scoring 31 points with five rebounds and Erlana Larkins contributing 16 points, 21 boards and five assists. In Game 2, however, Zellous was held to just nine points while Larkins paced Mersin with 19 points and 20 rebounds in an 87-74 loss. The loss, just the team�s first since Dec. 16, ended an 18-game win streak.

April 2, 2013: The Fever duo of Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous has led Mersin (Turkey) to a remarkable streak of 17 straight wins, capping its regular season last weekend with an 80-66 win over Istanbul Universitesi. With the win, Mersin moved into a second-place tie with annual power Galatasaray at 21-4, just two games behind league leader Fenerbahce, 23-2. In Saturday�s win, Zellous led all scorers with 38 points, matching a season-high with her fourth game of 30 or more this season. Larkins had a game-high 16 rebounds to go with six points.

March 12, 2013: It is becoming old news. For the second straight week, Erlana Larkins was named EuroBasket.com�s Turkish Player of the Week, with a solid supporting effort by Shavonte Zellous, and Mersin keeps on winning. Make that 14 straight wins for the fourth-place Turkish club that could be challenging first-place Fenerbahce if it weren�t for a 1-2 start before Larkins and Zellous arrived after the Fever title last fall. At 17-6, Mersin is close behind Kayseri (17-5) and second-place Galatasaray (19-4), whom both have fallen to Mersin in the past two weeks.

Against Galatasaray on March 6, Zellous paced all scorers with 38 points on 13-of-21 shooting including seven 3-pointers. It was a season scoring high and her third game this season with at least 30 points. Larkins had eight rebounds and eight points in the 77-68 win.

In a 70-58 win over Besiktas on March 10, Larkins had 23 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, while Zellous finished with 15 points and 10 boards.

While Zellous leads the circuit in scoring with 22.3 points per game, she is ninth in the league with 3.4 assists per game. Larkins, meanwhile, paces the Turkish League with an average of 14.3 rebounds and is eighth in assists with 3.8 per contest. Larkins averages 13.7 points while shooting 61.9 percent from the floor.

March 6, 2013: When a pair of teammates finishes first and fourth on the league�s list for players of the week, you know things are going good. That is exactly where Larkins (1st) and Zellous (4th) finished in the Turkish League as Mersin won its 12th straight game to maintain its hold on fourth place. Just five games remain in the Turkish regular season. Mersin�s 12th straight victory came at the hands of last-place Edremit, 99-47, the club�s most lopsided win of the season. Larkins, EuroBasket.com�s Turkish player of the week and the league�s leading rebounder, finished with 15 points and 18 rebounds, shooting 6-of-7 from the floor. Zellous had 14 points, eight boards and a season-high 13 assists.

February 19, 2013: Mersin won its 9th and 10th straight games last week while running its Turkish League record to 14-5, remaining in fourth place in the league standings. On Feb. 13, Shavonte Zellous had a game-high 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting to pace the club, with Erlana Larkins pitching in with 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 95-74 win over Ceyhan Bld. On Feb. 17, Mersin turned in an 81-60 victory over Samsun with Larkins contributing 11 points and 19 boards while league scoring leader Zellous did not play. Teammate Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya, meanwhile, was named the EuroBasket.com Turkish player of the week while scoring 22 points with 10 rebounds in the win over Samsun. Larkins has a streak of five straight double-double performances. She has 12 double-doubles in the 17 games she has played.

February 12, 2013: Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous just keep on rolling in the Turkish League, leading Mersin to its eighth straight victory last Saturday, 71-65 over cross-town rival Tarsus. Mersin snapped a two-game win streak for Tarsus, moving to 12-5 on the season and keeping hold on fourth place in the competitive Turkish League. Mersin is just one game behind Kayseri (13-4) and two behind Galatasaray (14-3) in the Turkish standings. Against Tarsus, Larkins paced the club with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Zellous had 15 points and four boards.

February 4, 2013:Turkish rebounding and scoring leaders Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous guided Mersin to its seventh straight victory last Saturday, defeating TED Ankara 77-67. Mersin (11-5) remains in a fourth-place tie in the Turkish League. Zellous netted a game-high 26 points in the win, while Larkins contributed 11 points and 18 rebounds. Each had three assists, helping Mersin to a 20-9 first quarter lead and a 38-23 advantage at intermission. Zellous continues pacing the league with 22.3 points per game, while Larkins averages a league-best 14.6 rebounds.

January 30, 2013: Mersin won its sixth straight game with a huge home upset of Turkish League leader and previously unbeaten Fenerbahce, 81-75. Fever guard Shavonte Zellous led her team with 35 points and Fever forward Erlana Larkins added 18 points and 16 boards as Mersin ended Fenerbahce's win streak at 14. Mersin (10-5) remains tied for fourth place in the league standings. Mersin trailed 66-54 after three quarters before outscoring Fenerbahce 27-9 in the final period. Zellous was 9-of-9 from the free throw line, while hitting 7-of-14 overall including four 3-pointers. On the losing side for Fenerbahce (14-1), WNBA stars Cappie Pondexter scored 17 points and Angel McCoughtry had 13.

Zellous, who has played a full 40 minutes the past three games, continues leading the Turkish League in scoring with 22.0 points per game. Larkins averages a double-double in the league with 13.1 points and a league-best 14.4 rebounds per game.

January 14, 2013:There were no surprises in Turkey this week while Fever teammates Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous clashed with fellow Indiana mate Jessica Davenport. Larkins and Zellous led 5th-place Mersin, 8-5, to a fourth straight win while defeating Istanbul Universitesi 74-61 last Saturday, in Istanbul. Zellous, the Turkish scoring leader, topped all scorers with 22 points and added seven rebounds and six assists. Larkins, the Turkish rebounding leader, pulled down 20 boards to go with 10 points and four assists. Davenport was the top scorer for Istanbul Unitersitesi, 6-7 and in ninth place. Davenport shot 8-of-10 from the floor and finished with 18 points and six rebounds in a game which Mersin led from start to finish.

January 7, 2013: Mersin has not played yet in January, but won both of its final games to cap its December schedule. In a 75-69 win over Botas on Dec. 26, Erlana Larkins posted 20 points and 16 rebounds while teammate Shavonte Zellous scored 19 points with five boards. Three nights later, Zellous recorded 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists in an 87-69 win over Canik BLD. Not to be outdone, Larkins added 13 points, 16 boards and five assists.

At the midway point of the Turkish season, Mersin is in sixth place, 7-5, with three straight wins. Zellous leads the Turkish league with 21.3 points per game while Larkins leads the circuit with 14.2 rebounds per game.

December 12, 2012: Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous have moved their team into seventh place in the Turkish League with another win last Sunday, Dec. 9. Mersin defeated Edremit 83-68.

Zellous led the team once again with 34 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 3-for-5 from behind the 3-point line. She was a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe. Her 34 points was a season-high and matched her high from last season. She added four rebounds and four assists. She was named Turkish League player of the week.

Larkins added her second-straight double-double, finishing with 17 points and 14 rebounds. It was her fifth double-double of the season and she has only had one game where she has not grabbed double-figure rebounds.

Mersin is now 4-3 in the Turkish League and 4-2 in EuroCup play.

December 7, 2012: Mersin lost two in a row to Kayseri last week, once in Turkish League play and another in the EuroCup eight-final series. An 80-62 loss to Kayseri in league play dropped Mersin to 3-4 in Turkish League action. Zellous scored 16 points and added six rebounds and an assist, while Larkins finished with seven points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Mersin dropped to ninth place in the Turkish standings.

The second loss to Kayseri came in EuroCup play. Mersin led through the third quarter, but Kayseri�s Asjha Jones led her team to the narrow 91-87 victory with 17 points and five rebounds. Zellous finished with a game-high 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Larkins pitched in a double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. She played all 40 minutes of the game. Mersin plays Kayseri once more as it hosts Game 2 of the EuroCup eighth-final series on Dec. 13.

November 26, 2012: Fever star Erlana Larkins has been tabbed by Eurobasket.com as the Turkish League�s player of the week for her efforts in Mersin�s 78-69 win over Samsun. Larkins� double-double of 12 points and 21 rebounds last Saturday helped Mersin improve to 3-3 with back-to-back wins in the Turkish League. Meanwhile, Shavonte Zellous scored a game-high 26 points on 6-of-13 shooting. She added four rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.

In EuroCup action, Larkins and Zellous helped Mersin to its fourth straight Group C win last week, beating Balfius Namur (Belgium) 80-68. Standing at 4-1 in Group C, Mersin is assured to advance to the second round of the EuroCup play.

November 19, 2012 : Mersin (Turkey) used 18 points and five rebounds from Shavonte Zellous, and seven points and 12 rebounds from Erlana Larkins, to upset third-place Ceyhan-BID in the Turkish League last Saturday. Mersin trailed 34-31 at the half, but outscored the home team 28-14 in the third period to command a 59-49 advantage.

Last week, Mersin won its third straight EuroCup game, 77-71 over Tarbes (France). Zellous led all scorers with 21 points while Larkins had a huge game with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Together, the Fever duo shot 10-of-21 from the floor and 13-of-16 from the free throw line.

Zellous has scored in double figures in all three Turkish League games as well as all three EuroCup games. Larkins has had double-digit rebounds in three Turkish League games and a pair of EuroCup bouts. Overall, Mersin is 2-3 in the Turkish League and 3-1 in its first round of EuroCup action.

November 16, 2012: Erlana Larkins and Shavonte Zellous are teammates on Mersin, based in Mersin Turkey. The team plays both in the Turkish League and in the EuroCup League. Larkins has played in four games and recorded three double-doubles, including a 27-point, 14-rebound performance last weekend. Zellous, in her five games with the team, has averaged 19 points and over five rebounds. Mersin is currently 1-3 in the Turkish League, and 3-1 in the EuroCup.
